History
Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry
Saratoga Springs Satellite
Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry in Pleasant Grove was founded in 2016 by Mike Carter and Al Switzler as a proud sister pantry of Tabitha’s Way in Spanish Fork, founded by Wendy Osborne. Over these last 8 years, we have served primarily the 10 cities in North Utah County. Most recently, we have been serving over 2000 families per month.
We noticed over the past few years, that as the population in the Northwest part of the county has been increasing, that about 21% of our clients came from Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and west Lehi. Our purpose in opening the pantry in Saratoga Springs was to reduce the time and expense of traveling to get food. See at the top of the page, the things that are the same and the things that are different. There is no difference in the food that clients receive; it is the same in quantity and quality.
This satellite pantry is a small, rented space. Our intention is to secure a larger, full-service pantry in the future.
Tabitha’s Way is in reality—neighbors who can, helping neighbors in need. We thank all of our neighbors who volunteer and who donate food and funds.
